Finally picked up my new, full custom skates yesterday! Waiting a couple months for them was probably harder than getting used to them will be.
They are Hobbit feet skates. The left has EE toe with AA heel, and the right has C toe with AA heel. Jackson did not put the black lightweight bottoms on them, due to the width, which is a minor disappointment.
I got Eclipse Aurora blades. I wanted an intermediate level blade with 7 foot rockers, and wanted hard stainless steel (these are 440c) in order to reduce sharpenings, but had almost nothing left after paying for the boots. Eclipse blades are very economically priced, and my other options would have cost at least $70 more, so I ordered the Eclipse Aurora model blades.
I am SO relieved to have 7 foot rockers again, because the 8 foot rocker blades were horrible for me, and I could not get used to them. It is going to take me a while to adjust to them, but even without being used to them, I feel a lot smoother on the ice.
I have a couple problems with the boots, so am going to have to deal with those, but I think in the end I will be happier than I have been with my old ones.

The boots are definitely too big. I skated in them every day for the entire week since I got them, so I am absolutely certain about it. The skate guy is going to check them Sunday, and if needed he will send them back for re-lasting.
If they go back, it will probably be a couple months before I get them back. So I am going to ask skate guy to put the blades on my old boots for now, if he can (the boots are a different size).
